Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disorder involving the neurons of the motor system in the brain and spinal cord. It is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The ALS Program offers a comprehensive evaluation of patients with motor neuron disorders. We treat patients with ALS, PLS, PMA, PBP, MMN, and other motor neuron disorders (e.g. polio, post-polio syndrome). Our team of specialists includes a mobility expert, an orthotics/prosthetics expert, and a representative from the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
