Dr. Singh is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. He is an Instructor at the Yale School of Medicine, and an attending physician at Yale New Haven Hospital (Nephrology and Internal Medicine). He is also a Lecturer in the Yale School of Medicine's Department of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, as well as a Postdoctoral Fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Lloyd Cantley. In his work in the Cantley lab, Dr. Singh uses principles of developmental biology to better understand the barriers to regeneration in the acutely injured human kidney. He studies progenitor cell populations involved in the development and regeneration of the mammalian kidney, and has developed novel applications of emerging imaging technologies to quantitatively analyze human kidney samples obtained through collaborations with the departments of Pathology, Urology, and Transplant Surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital.
